Private house in Jurmala

This family house consists of four different-sized rectangular volumes which are rotated and slightly shifted from each other. Such a structure was created in order to catch the sun, integrate itself between tall old pines and create on the site two land parts of different nature. One, facing the driveway which opens when you get to the site. Another, private, faced to the natural dune, which protects the house from the winds of the Baltic sea. Massive, concrete-paneled volumes are cut through by large and small windows, the location of which is determined by the interior spaces, the best views and the sun.
